We are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Chiles as our new Operations Manager at Contract Production Ltd.

Andrew joins us at an exciting time as we continue to grow and develop across all areas of the business. Over the past year alone, our shareholders have made significant investments into Contract Production—supporting the acquisition of new equipment and the expansion of our operational space to meet the increasing demands of our clients and the industries we serve.

Bringing with him over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, Andrew’s career began on the shop floor and progressed through technical, sales, and operational leadership roles. His broad experience provides him with a deep and well-rounded understanding of the challenges and requirements needed to run a successful manufacturing operation. Prior to joining us, Andrew served as Director at Cleveland Circuits for 11 years.

Our Managing Director, Simon Norris, shared his thoughts on the appointment:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Andrew to the team. His passion and enthusiasm are already energising the business, and we’re excited to implement the new ideas and best practices he brings with him to benefit our people and, most importantly, our customers.”

Our Sales Manager, Emma Wrigglesworth, also commented:

“Andrew’s experience and drive are exactly what we need as we take the next steps in our growth journey. With his leadership and our ongoing partnership with Manufacturing Excellence, we’re in a strong position to build a solid foundation for long-term success.”

Andrew is equally enthusiastic about joining us in this key role. His focus will be on refining internal processes, developing our team, and driving greater operational efficiency.

“My goal is to apply best practice, invest in people, equipment, and resources, and enhance our process efficiency, capacity, and profitability,” he said. “Expanding into our newly acquired facility is a big part of this, as it gives us the space and flexibility to support future growth and seize new business opportunities.”

Outside of work, Andrew is a talented photographer and enjoys using drone technology to capture aerial imagery of the local area. He’s also a passionate guitarist, often spending his free time playing music.

At Contract Production, we manufacture a wide range of sub-contract electronic products and printed circuit board assemblies for a diverse range of industries. From one-off prototypes to large production volumes in the tens of thousands, we pride ourselves on flexibility, quality, and customer-focused solutions.

Our investment last year in the AM100 Panasonic Pick and Place line allowed us to increase our output by up to 400%, giving us the capacity to take on larger, more complex contracts.

In addition to high-volume production, we also specialise in prototypes and low-rate production runs, often hand-assembled, for products not yet brought to market. These can include anything from GPS tracking devices to deep-sea oil drilling instrumentation.

With Andrew now on board, we look forward to building on our momentum and continuing to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions to all our clients.
